Pat and Ellie Mullins share the load and the love for their two businesses in Three Oaks, Michigan: their restaurant, Patellie’s, and right next door, P+E Bottle Shop, and hand-selected collection of old and new world wines, ciders and craft beers.

Their love for wine can be traced back to their love for food, travel, and the growers and vintners who make it their life’s work.

Ellie’s experience is both professional—with over 20 years of working in the hospitality and restaurant industry—and personal, through her hands-on experience with her family vineyard and winery in Healdsburg, California. Ellie shares her passion, knowledge, and her ever-present smile with all who pass through the doors of the P+E Bottle Shop.

Pat, a native Chicagoan, attended Chicago Cooking and Hospitality Institute and went on to work at restaurants with incredible wine programs — Blackbird in Chicago, Hungry Cat in Santa Barbara, and Pizzeria Delfina in San Francisco. His enthusiasm for wine is obvious — he has an insatiable thirst to delve into the history and culture of wines from around the world, and he’s inspired by the people who produce them.

In their home, wine is a way of life…a way for their senses to travel through time and space.
